It’s time for another edition of the Last.fm Hype Chart, tracking the artists scaling the charts over the past seven days. Last week saw Hotel Mexico on top, but who’s hit the heights this week?

Read on with Last.fm Originals to find out.

At #3 this week is Skrillex & 12th Planet, a meeting of the LA producers. Fans are listening to collaborations “Needed Change” and “Let’s Get Down”, as well as their set at this March’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami, to contribute to a Hype Score of 527.

In at #2 is 24-year-old London musician Kwes., with a Hype Score of 601. Known as a producer, singer, and remixer, he’s just released the solo EP Meantime. on respected electronic label Warp, with standout track “Bashful” being scrobbled by 1,710 listeners in the past week.

At #1 we find an entirely different solo artist, with the Netherlands’ Arjen Anthony Lucassen. The driving force behind projects such as Ayreon, Star One and Guilt Machine, his new solo album Lost in the New Real has seen consistently high scrobble counts for all tracks, as fans seek out their new favourites. A Hype Score of 901 has placed him on top, but can he stay there?
