Just missing out on the top spot at #2 is Canadian indie group Hot Panda. Their Hype Score of 853 puts clear daylight between them and LOL Boys – mainly thanks to the success of their track “Future Markets”. The track was listened to by 1,385 listeners last week and comes from the album Go Outside, released last month. It is miles ahead of the other tracks in terms of popularity and looks set to open the band up to a much wider audience.

Victorious at #1 this week is Korean hip hop artist Psy – storming ahead with a Hype Score of 1,393. A notorious performer (he often imitates popular female Korean stars), his track “강남스타일 (Gangnam Style)” racked up well over 3,000 listeners last week. Fans have taken to his shoutbox in the masses, showing serious support for the track. Psy’s Hype Score doesn’t show any sign of slowing down.
