Last.fm Discover Tag of the Week: I’ll House You

Joy O

Care for a dance? Last.fm Discover could just help you there. Guiding you round over 2 million tracks from emerging artists filtered by Last.fm’s tags, there’s plenty of shapes to be thrown whilst getting your new music fix.

To celebrate this, Last.fm Originals brings you one of the best-known dance genres for its Tag of the Week: simply, House. Read on to find the sounds you might expect on Discover House radio.

“Head in Hands” by Peter’s House Music weaves melodies round handclaps and fidgety beats before evolving into an entirely different monster, experimenting with house sounds whilst referencing its many-threaded history.

Meanwhile, London’s Joy O starts us off with a clear four-to-the-floor beat on “Wade In”, complimented by sounds that hark to the heyday of ’90s house.

French artist Krikor makes it minimal on “No More OGM”, a track that might not be immediately dancefloor friendly but combines videogame effects with bouncing bass to create a distinct groove.

Discover new music, make mixes, and share them with your friends, all at Last.fm Discover today.
