Party Shakin’ The Hype Chart

R.I.O. feat. Nicco

It’s time again for the Last.fm Hype Chart, a guide to the artists growing fastest on Last.fm in the past week. 1982 topped our last chart, but who’s on top now?

Read on with Last.fm Originals to find out the top three rapidly-rising artists of the last seven days.

At #3 with a Hype Score of 593 are London four-piece Lawson, buoyed by debut single “When She Was Mine” receiving 1,229 listeners in the past week. After support slots with Will Young and The Wanted, it appears their own brand of guitar-pop is gaining traction with listeners.

Everything I do
Reminds me of you
Just a picture on the wall
I'm surrounded by it all

Reaching the #2 spot are fellow Londoners Rudimental, with breakout drum ‘n’ bass track “Feel The Love”. Having been named as UK DJ Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World in March and riding high in the UK charts, the track’s gained 4,199 listeners over the past seven days and has contributed to a Hype Score of 679 for the four-piece.

In at #1 is a sure sign of summer, as the Euro-pop stylings of R.I.O. feat. Nicco reach the top of the chart with a Hype Score of 724. Their track “Party Shaker” combines infectious synth lines with tales of partying for a guaranteed holiday smash, that’s received over 881 listeners in the past week for its various remixes.
