Lollapalooza wrapped up another memorable Summer weekend in Chicago’s Grant Park last weekend. We were once again on-site, running between the giant stages to catch our favorite acts and musical idols playing all weekend under the hot sun. We caught sets from Metallica, Florence & The Machine, Alabama Shakes, James Bay, and tons more!
Last.fm’s Steve Galli describes his Lolla 2015 experience:
“I survived the 14th Annual Lollapalooza Music Festival this past weekend in historic Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois. Sunny and warm all weekend, and a complete orderly 45 minute evacuation of all 100,000 festival goers on Sunday, I still managed to cover 42 stages. George Ezra play a shortened acoustic set to please the fans who raced back into the festival after the evacuation.
Highlights were of course Paul McCartney, Metallica and Florence +the Machine with Of Monsters and Men, Sam Smith, The Weeknd, and Bassnectar also pulling in large crowds.
Surprises from lesser known artists were abundant.
My personal favs were Zella Day, Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas, Father John Misty, Ryn Weaver, Walk the Moon, Sheppard, and Catfish and the Bottlemen.”
