Kate Earl - One Woman Army

CLIP 4:24 | Oct 28, 2012

Performed for CMJ 2012 Live at The Living Room, NYC

Kate Earl was the debut performance at our October 11 CMJ 2012 Showcase, hosted at The Living Room, and above all else she truly set the bar high for the following acts.  With so many talented singer-songwriters out there its hard to set one’s self apart, but with her combination of soulful piano driven pop mixed with vintage jazzy/Americana guitar riffs, Kate has unearthed a genre of folk music all her own.

The Alaskan born (now L.A. based) young mom gifted us with an extended set heavily featuring previews of songs from her forthcoming album “Stronger,” debuting on Nov. 19th from Downtown Records.  With heartfelt dedications to her son and family and a warm sincere thankful recognition to her fans, we are happy to bring you a brief collection of live tracks including “Shadows And Light” and “Wicked Love”.

“Stronger” features some phenomenal collaborative work from the likes of Brett Dennen and Blake Mills.  The classic rock n’ roll songwriting influence really shines through, and the audience was treated to the perfect mellow chill-out lounge set.
