Announcing: AVAN LAVA + Spirit Animal @ Santos Party House

To mourn the end of summer and celebrate a new fall, we’re returning to Santos Party House with two of our favorite new bands in NYC: AVAN LAVA and Spirit Animal.

TC, the lead singer of AVAN LAVA, is a musical tour de force (he calls Freddie Mercury his biggest inspiration – no one better for a front man of pop band to emulate). Aside from leading an awe-inspiring live show, he and the band “strive to create a safe space for everyone to drop whatever identity they claim and just go hard.” Leave your pretention at the door, and bring your biggest smile and best dance moves – an AVAN LAVA show is pop music at its finest and most humble.

Whereas Spirit Animal does the unthinkable: makes rock music sound fresh again. They’ve got the heaviness of Opiate-era Tool, the punk-funk of Death From Above 1979, and the stage presence of mid-70′s era The Who. Suffice it to say, Spirit Animal are an unmissable live act.
