Watch Band of Horses take the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to stream a full Live on Letterman concert, just hours before their latest album Mirage Rock‘s release.
There’s been a lot of anticipation for Band of Horses’ fourth album, and even before Mirage Rock ‘s official release, Scrobble activity around it already started to show up on Last.fm. Three tracks (“Knock, Knock,” “Slow Cruel Hands of Time,” and “Everything”) had been debuted online, and considering the limited availability of a fraction of the album for consumption, seeing an album begin to register before release is impressive.
These numbers are still very early, so expect to see them go up throughout the week and onward.
“Knock, Knock” is already charting among Band of Horses’ top three songs on Last.fm, which is generally a good indicator for excitement around the album.
Shortly before release date, Mirage Rock was made available as a stream.
In the past week, since Rock Mirage became available to stream and we approached release day and Band of Horses Live on Letterman appearance, the group has seen an uptick in scrobbles, putting them at high point, and climbed 24 spots in the charts.
The Live on Letterman concert, is your first chance to hear these new songs live. Don’t forget to come back and watch the scrobble data grow, following Band of Horses Live on Letterman, presented by AT&T.
