Go Radio Performance and Interview Leads to Heartwarming Show of Support from Fans

When Tallahassee, Florida’s Go Radio stopped by the Last.fm Studios to lay down some acoustic tracks and chat about the formation of the band, lead singer Jason Lancaster’s post Mayday Parade life and discuss the meaning behind a few of their songs… we NEVER expected that such a heart wrenching and inspiring story would unfold into it’s present grassroots display of fan dedication, love and devotion.

We were happy to be notified that in just one-week, the $$ goal had been met! This is from fund organzier Alec Joy:

To all of the funds donors, supporters and friends,

This is it guys, we did it. We raised $1,456.47 of our $1750 dollar goal (yes I know last.fm said $3000, I think they just wanted to post a number) and the family wishes to cover the remaining $317.50 so as of noon tomorrow the donate button will be removed from the site and it will simply exist to remind everyone that all 42 of you are absolutely amazing. The response from you all has been absolutely mind blowing, this project was supposed to run until May 10 but we reach our goal in, are you ready for this? 7 Days. Don’t ever let anyone tell you fans and friends can’t get things done. The only thing left to do is get the money to the family and get Mr. Lancaster’s headstone. As promised I will keep you updated on these things, I’ve been stressing honesty and transparency through all of this because I knew there would be questions about legitimacy with this being fan run so you WILL be getting proof that the money got to the family at some point, though it will take take with all of their busy schedules. Jason is currently on tour and Daniel will be heading out soon. This is something that the family would like to do together so I ask that you be patient.
