Watch Now: Gotye Live on Letterman

One of Last.fm’s most dominate artists, Gotye, is taking the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to stream a full concert as part of the Live on Letterman series. You can watch the whole show live, right here.

Gotye has unquestionably been one of the most successful artists of the year. If it seems like you’ve heard him everywhere, we can confirm that with hard data. Gotye has owned the Last.fm Charts since early Spring. In fact, Gotye’s “Someone That I Used to Know” was the top track in the world from February 26th through September 9th. That’s a staggering 29 weeks in a row.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a single song dominate the charts for as long as “Somebody” did.

Of course, Gotye has already proven he’s far from a one hit wonder. While the numbers for “Somebody That I Used to Know” may be mind blowing, he’s also pulling strong stats for a wide variety of songs, which just shows that his fans are gorging on the entire album. Keep in mind, the stats you see below are merely from one week.

As you can see, Gotye has some hardcore and devoted fans that have been spinning his entire collection, again and again.  We’re likely to see these numbers grow even higher as Gotye racks up views on his streaming concert.
