Hurray For The Riff Raff Perform Live – Last.fm Sessions at Birch Coffee NYC

The sounds are as delicious as the smells inside Birch Coffee on 27th Street in New York City. On a recent afternoon as the scents of espresso and steamed milk swirled around laptop-toting patrons in the Library room, New Orleans-based folk band Hurray For The Riff Raff slipped in for a special acoustic performance.
Alynda Lee Segarra is the band’s creator, songwriter and singer. Guitar in hand, Segarra joined HFTRR fiddle player Yosi Perlstein in treating Birch’s caffeinated assembly (and the band’s 11,500+ listeners on Last.fm) to songs from their self-titled 2011 album and their new 2012 release Look Out Mama.
