Monday night felt like a weekend party, as Scottish rockers Snow Patrol set the Ed Sullivan Theater and internet ablaze with their streaming Live on Letterman concert. The guys casually walked through the crowd, making their way to the stage, before rocking the rafters so non-chalantly, you’d think they do it everyday – which, as it turns out, they often do.

Snow Patrol opened with the crowd favorite “Chocolate,” before launching into their latest single “Called Out in the Dark.” Even though the new album isn’t out yet, some of the tracks off Fallen Empires drew a huge response in person and online, as die-hards tweeted out their favorites. The online love wasn’t just limited to the States or the UK, Snow Patrol fans tuned in from around the globe for their favorite band.

Gary kept the mood light and joked with the crowd that they were actually at a standup comedy show, but with no jokes. He even asked them if they preferred the city of New York or their song “New York.” He may have had home field advantage, but his song did get more applause.

Snow Patrol finished strong, with a rousing version of their biggest hit “Chasing Cars” before rocking into the title track of their new album “Fallen Empires.”
