The Temper Trap return to our studio about a year and a half since their first trip here. This session will not only bring you three brand new songs, but this was the first time Lorenzo, Dougy and Joseph played them acoustic in front of anyone. Seventeen songs were recorded for the sophomore, self-titled album which gets released in the U.S. on Tuesday, June 5th. Twelve made it onto the regular album version and fifteen on the deluxe CD. “Rabbit Hole” and “Trouble With Pain” (included on the deluxe edition) are songs that didn’t quite make it onto the Conditions album. (“Rabbit Hole” was actually in the running to make The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack). Included in my chat with the guys, we get funny stories involving Frank Black, Ashton Kutcher and Zac Efron. Check out the recent The Temper Trap Live On Letterman webcast by clicking here.
