Here at Last.fm Originals we are proud to call the always-ravishing Tori Amos a “friend of the family.” Making her third visit to our New York HQ this Fall, Amos stopped by to discuss the making of her latest album Gold Dust, and made time to share a few stories from the road.
With over 1.1 million Listeners and well over 47 million scrobbles to her name, Amos is undeniably one of the most popular artists on Last.fm, with fans in every single country around the world.
As Amos mentions in this interview, the Gold Dust is a collections of songs spanning the length of her 20 year career. Each song is re-imagined and rearranged as Amos is backed up by the Metropole Orchestra from the Netherlands, with whom Amos has been touring and performing live. Listen closely as Amos describes the challenges she faced in selecting these 20 songs and giving them new life in the orchestral setting.
