This week’s new releases piece begins with the long-awaited return of Baltimore experimentalists Animal Collective. Released via Domino Records, “Centipede Hz” (pronounced “centipede hertz”), see’s the group of Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Deakin, Geologist come together for their tenth effort. Right now on Last.fm, “Today’s Supernatural” is currently the most popular track, with 9,465 listeners last week.

This week also see’s the return of Northern Irish indie rock/electro-pop trio Two Door Cinema Club with their second album “Beacon”. Released by influential French label Kitsuné, the album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Jacknife Lee in his home studios. The most popular track from “Beacon” is “Sleep Alone” which clocked up 10,185 listeners last week.

The Vaccines return with an 11-track album, recorded at the ICP studios in Brussels and Distillery in Bath with producer Ethan Johns. “Come Of Age” follows their platinum selling, Brit nominated and NME award winning debut, “What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?” which was released in March 2011. The most popular track on Last.fm is “If You Wanna” with an impressive 194,996 listeners.
