We’re kicking it off with the Record of the Year nominees – this time it’s the turn of fun.‘s “We Are Young”:
Indie pop act fun. have a pretty impressive showing in this year’s GRAMMY nominations: their Record of the Year nod is just one of six. “We Are Young” made its debut back in September 2011, but subsequent use in various TV shows and the Super Bowl boosted its profile sufficiently to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March 2012. Since its release, it’s gained 3,432,719 scrobbles and counting – and even with slightly waning popularity, is still the 31st most-scrobbled track worldwide for the past week.

In their current charts subsequent single “Some Nights” has overtaken “We Are Young”, but with listeners still loving the track over a year later, its GRAMMY chances are looking pretty good.
