With her new album Tiger Suit, KT Tunstall disavowed all expectations of what her follow up album should be, fending off input from fans, label, management, even her parents. She set out to make a record wholly from within, with as little outside influence as possible. This led to a re-discovered love of dance music, and teh decision to work with producer Jim Abbiss to “sound like Eddie Cochran meets Leftfield.” Has she surpassed earlier expectations and found an exciting new territory for her critically-acclaimed songwriting?
