After a two year hiatus, HALF PAST TWO is ready to break back into the Orange County ska music scene. Reforming the band with most of the original lineup – including lead singer Tara Pearce – the female fronted ska/rock/reggae group is actively picking up on the momentum of their two EPs and full length release, produced by Aaron Barrett of Reel Big Fish. Energizing the local stage with their unique and horn heavy sound, Half Past Two has headlined the House of Blues Anaheim and Chain Reaction and supported local and international ska legends including Reel Big Fish, The Aquabats, RX Bandits, Suburban Legends, Starpool, The English Beat, Bad Manners, The Toasters, Tippa Irie, and Pato Banton at venues including The Grove of Anaheim, The Glass House, 924 Gilman, The Phoenix Theater, and The Catalyst. Half Past Two’s other achievements include airplay on KROQ, an Orange County Music Awards nomination for Best Alternative Band, and inclusion in the 2014 movie “Confessions of a Womanizer” (Gary Busey, C. Thomas Howell).
